Unsurprising, really, given her years in government (former assistant administrator for the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention at the US Environmental Protection Agency) and academia (Dean of the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University), not to mention her career as a pediatrician and environmental epidemiologist.
