"I joined the Center because I saw an opportunity to dedicate myself to something larger than myself. To work here, in service of the mission, is an honor and responsibility as a patriot. It's not just a job - it's a calling. My ancestors, of German and Norwegian peasant stock, saw something in this place that animated them to be exceptional.  To leave behind something better than what they had started with. I think that is the power of the American Dream - it resonates beyond our shores; it represents hope, belonging, and the intoxicating opportunity for the exceptional. The task of extending these ideas of hope and belonging is a gargantuan one these days; but it is one that is worthwhile and greatly needed. I could not ask for a better organization to be a part of to advance the dream."
